What is EyeBOX?
Introduction to
EyeBOX by Oculogica
The first FDA-cleared concussion assessment that does not require a baseline test is here. EyeBOX is a revolutionary medical device developed by Oculogica, Inc., designed to diagnose concussions and other brain injuries.
This non-invasive, FDA-cleared technology uses eye-tracking to measure and analyze eye movements, capturing precise data as a patient follows a visual stimulus on a screen. EyeBOX assesses ocular motility and provides objective metrics related to brain function, allowing for rapid, accurate, and unbiased evaluation of potential concussions. This innovation is crucial for timely and appropriate medical intervention, particularly in settings like sports, military, and emergency care.

EyeBOX Process
Step 1: Head Injury Occurrence
A patient suffers an injury to the head. Such occurrences, including falls, motor accidents, sports injuries, and other head traumas, happen on average at a rate of one every eight seconds.
Step 2: Watching a Video
Using the EyeBOX device, the patient watches a video. The device is battery-powered, allowing it to be moved to different clinic rooms if needed.
Step 3: Data Collection
EyeBOX collects 100,000 data points based on cranial nerve function and tracks eye movements. This process is independent of a patient’s language and does not require a baseline for comparison.
Step 4: Calculating the Score
EyeBOX calculates a BOX score that indicates the likelihood of a concussion, aiding in the determination of the presence or absence of concussion.
